By PEMM Staff

December 20, 2023

After five years of development, the PEMM project officially launched to wide acclaim on December 21, 2023.

PEMM did a slow roll out of the website over the late fall of 2023.

On November 17, 2023, the PEMM team presented to the Ethiopian Studies North America workshop, treating this presentation as a soft launch.

On December 11, PEMM began announcing the site on social media.

On December 20, a story about the project appeared on the Princeton University home page and the PI Belcher announced that the site was launched over email to many members of the public and academia.

On January 1, 2024, PEMM began a special roll out for the Ethiopian community, as part of the celebration of Gena on January 7.
