Blaine Kebede
Project Manager (2022-present)
Blaine Kebede graduated with a dual bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance and a minor in Chinese Language & Literature from the University of Delaware in 2016. After graduating, she worked at EY & Deloitte as a senior consultant, assisting clients design and transform processes, with a focus on mitigating technological and financial risks. She has experience performing and managing Sarbanes-Oxley 404 (SOX) and SSAE18 (SOC1 and SOC2) engagement audits for various systems including Oracle, SAP, AS400, SQL, AWS, Windows, & Linux.
Blaine has studied and worked around the world in Shanghai, New Zealand, and New York. Currently she lives in Philadelphia – the city her parents immigrated to 45 years ago from Ethiopia. Here she is an active volunteer for the Ethiopian community association of Greater Philadelphia (ECAGP). In her free time, she enjoys language exchange, hiking, travel, thrifting, and is a certified Zumba instructor. She believes in the power of storytelling as a force of connection, cultural preservation, and healing.
As PEMM Project Manager, she assists in overseeing the day-to-day work of the data team; organizing communication among team members, including scheduling meetings; designing and implementing project workflows; tracking progress on project goals and outcomes; preparing project documentation; monitoring the budget; and performing acceptance testing on software features. She also works on compiling, cleaning, and adding data for tens of thousands of Ethiopian miracle story records; participates in developing an online database for them; and analyzing the data.
