Henok Alem graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University (MSU) in 2017. He currently works as a Software Engineer at Google. Before that, he worked for the MSU Libraries in different capacities for over five years and then at the Indiana General Assembly helping make the democratic process more efficient.

As PEMM Technical Lead, he oversees the development of the web application and data portal. He has a broad range of skills in designing and developing interactive systems. He loves using technology to build really immersive and useful tools.  

Henok lives in Washington, DC, with his cat Android. In his free time he likes to go biking, reading, playing video games, and socializing with friends. He’s also very interested in any projects that involve Africa and Technology.
